	In response to the increasing trend for automotive fluids, in particular oil and brake, to become manufacturer/model specific, ACDelco has introduced a number of new product references that fit into this growing category. In doing so, the UK and European aftermarket operation is confident that it will help widen the appeal of its fluids programme, which already stands as one of its core product groups.


	ACDelco Highlights Issues Over Counterfeiting After Fake Parts Haul
	ACDelco’s recent announcement that it has successfully seized some 50,000 counterfeit vehicle parts in Saudi Arabia is a stark reminder of the magnitude of what remains a significant global problem. It also demonstrates the level of commitment leading players such as ACDelco assign to protecting brand reputation, not to mention the safety of vehicle owners in the process. And whilst this latest haul emanated from what many may term is the other side of the world, the UK and European aftermarket operation is keen to emphasise the ongoing need to remain vigilant closer to home.


	ACDelco - ‘Driving Forward’ In 2013
	ACDelco intends to continue to exploit the aftermarket opportunities that exist not just in the UK but also across Europe by promoting its capabilities on the back of the adopted promotional platform for 2013 of ‘Driving Forward’. As ACDelco’s director Lee Quinney states: “We have never shied away from being bold when it comes to our continued intent to strengthen our position in the UK and European aftermarkets where we operate, and as our current campaign dictates, 2013 will be no exception. Whilst the prevailing climate does remain a challenge, we are confident that we occupy as strong a position today as we have done over the last seven years, and are therefore understandably optimistic as to what 2013 has to hold.


	ACDelco - Empowered To Succeed In 2013
	Having settled into a new home located in General Motor’s UK Head Office in Luton, Griffin House, leading global aftermarket parts supplier, ACDelco, has its sights set firmly on securing growth throughout 2013 inline with forecasts. Indeed the UK and pan-European operation has already spent little time accelerating its new product introduction programme, having launched a comprehensive 1200 part number range of brake discs.


	ACDelco Adds More Charge To Battery Range
	Given ACDelco’s pedigree within the field of automotive batteries – described by many as the ‘best dressed battery in the business’ - it will come as little surprise that the UK and pan-European aftermarket operation has introduced a range of the latest generation AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries for stop/start applications. Introduced for the coming season and serving to complement ACDelco’s range of SMF batteries that continue to remain hugely popular, just three new part numbers cover some 447-vehicle applications, taking in references for Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche and Volkswagen.


	ACDelco Opens Up A New Frontier In Cyprus
	ACDelco - a global leader in automotive systems and components - has continued to rollout its European expansion programme having appointed a new parts distributor within Cyprus. Representing the first time ACDelco has established a presence within this EU member state, Fotoniaco Trading Limited of Limassol now has distribution rights for ACDelco’s complete aftermarket programme.


	ACDelco Rear Wipers Come To The Fore
	ACDelco is set to strengthen the depth of its UK and pan-European wiper product range over the coming weeks, following the decision to introduce a universally appealing four part number range of rear wiper blades. Covering some 88 references across the A – Z of the current vehicle parc, each rear wiper blade – 11”, 12”, 14” or 16” in length – comes supplied with four connectors making them compatible with the main five rear wiper arm types. This feature alone means that customers can provide comprehensive vehicle coverage by stocking a rationalised range of parts.


	ACDelco E-Catalogue Continues On The Up
	ACDelco is reportedly delighted with the impact its E-catalogue has had since it was fully integrated into the UK and European aftermarket operation’s website almost a year ago. Indeed in the intervening period, customers and site visitors using the facility have increased month on month, with ACDelco now regularly seeing in excess of 1,150 visitors accessing this particular tool online.

	ACDelco Adds Greater Fluidity To Its Parts Programme
	Looking to widen the appeal of its aftermarket fluids programme, ACDelco has bolstered both its oils and brake fluids product offering in another move centred on maintaining the growth impetus of its UK and European operation. In order to maintain the dynamism of a product offering that sees oils continue to become increasingly manufacturer/model specific, ACDelco customers have access to four advanced formula fully synthetic oils, not to mention a special long drain Turbo SAE 10W40 oil with low saps formulation. And with dexosÔ from ACDelco setting the new benchmark when it comes to the latest generation of high performance, long life synthetic motor oils – a specification uniquely designed by GM Powertrain engineers – a dexos2 multigrade GEOS-B 5230 mid saps oil has been introduced to supersede a number of existing part numbers.


	ACDelco Continues To Develop Clutch Programme
	ACDelco is firmly on target to see its clutch programme break through the 1000 part number barrier ahead of the year end, the UK and European aftermarket operation having added a further eleven new clutch kits this month, not to mention 2 SMF kits and an equal number of concentric slave cylinders. Following the introduction of nine kits in February, ACDelco’s clutch programme now totals some 927 references and remains one of the operation’s most progressive product groups. As ACDelco’s General Manager, Lee Quinney states: “The latest new additions not only cover a number of very popular car models, they take in an equally appealing range of van applications, which will help strengthen our coverage of the van and light commercial vehicle sectors. Once again, this latest range enhancement reinforces our policy of aligning clutch to an ever changing vehicle parc.”

ACDelco SMF Batteries - In The Prime Of Their Life

As a globally recognised supplier of automotive systems and components, ACDelco has enjoyed its fair share of industry firsts and milestones. Take the pioneering development and introduction of the SMF or Sealed Maintenance Free battery forty years ago in 1971. This product has, over the last four decades, developed quite a reputation. ACDelco’s platinum range of SMF (sealed maintenance free) batteries for the European aftermarket provides all makes coverage of cars, light vans and selected commercial vehicles. Covering DIN and JIS applications, this premium line takes in some 43 product references, included in which are a number of popular Asian vehicle applications, such as Mitsubishi Shogun, Toyota Yaris, Mazda 3, Suzuki Lian and specialist applications such as Ssangyong and Perodua.
